Photoshoot - Advertising

Below are my favourite, unedited photographs from my advertising shoot. For this shoot, I am going to advertise Creamy Eyes in E128 Old Pink, and my aim was to keep the makeup quite natural and have a matching eye and lip. As I was unable to purchase the creamy eye colour I wanted, I tried two different techniques one with a mixture of eyeshadows and other with a shiny gloss put on the top. I prefer the shiny eyes as I feel it not only compliments the lip, but it has a feel of Ellis Faas to it. The brief is to create two different looks, a day and a night look and here is my first, daytime look. This is the image I got my positioning inspiration from. I was fascinated with using the hair as a background.

LOOK ONE

I really like the position of the model, and the way she is looking down. When editing, I will crop the t-shirt out and top of her head and make the background full of her hair.

I also like this image, however because she is looking up it makes it harder to see what I am advertising as you cannot see the colour of the eyes as clearly.

Overall, I'm happy with how this shoot has turned out. They will need a lot of photoshopping but I love how simple and natural the makeup looks as it contrast against my other ideas of Ellis Faas. I can't wait to see what these images will look like when photoshopped and advertising my chosen product. Here is a quick photoshop edit I have done to see the kind of idea I am going with it.

LOOK TWO

Although this image would need a lot of photoshopping, I really like how powerful she looks.

My model has a lovely neck and her profile photographs really well which is why I love this image. Again, it needs a lot of photoshop but it could work really well for something.

Whilst I like the design and these images, I don't like them for this brief. They aren't Ellis Faas inspired at all and very different to something she would produce. I am going to reshoot this and maybe advertise a lip product as I want to stay away from the typical smokey eye look. However, these images may be useful for something else and I will definitely put these in my portfolio.
