I have noticed that recently, and in previously monthly visuals, Ellis has focused a lot on backgrounds. This is something that I am looking to create for my new editorial ideas.
I really like this idea and I after studying this image closely, I have noticed that there is a lot of wires, pipes and chains involved and I am wondering if I could I create a mechanical themed background based on the inside of the human body as opposed to the external human colours we see.
Going on from this idea, I have drawn up a few face charts of the makeup that could work alongside this while I figure out how I can make the background look similar to this.
Look 1
I like this idea of using cogs on the face as it fits with the mechanical side. However, I'm not sure if it will give a good effect being drawn on as it will look flat.
Look 2
This is a potential makeup look that could go with the background as it is simple, meaning it won't take the attention away from the background.
