For this shoot, I quite liked the idea of my model being in a red bath which resembled the blood of Ellis Red without being gory and being more fashionable. I did this shoot in my aunties bath as I couldn't in the studio and she has a free standing one which means I could walk all the way around it to get different angles. Unfortunately I couldn't use food colouring in the bath so I am hoping to create the effect of red water on photoshop. I kept the makeup quite simple with a flawless face and winged eyeliner as I wanted the attention to be on the lips. The lips were covered in rose petals which the theme followed through in the bath with the roses and flowers. Below are my favourite unedited photographs from the shoot.
I am really happy with this shoot as my models face looks flawless against the pool water and I think it could work really well after photoshop. As this is my first shoot completed, I am looking forward to editing them an to see how they turn out!
However, after speaking to Kat about these images and showing her she feels it would be hard to make the water red and keeping it natural looking. She isn't that keen on the idea and thinks I can push myself further by looking into different ideas. After seeing Ellis' recent March visual it has inspired me to create a background of some sort. Although I won't be using these images for this unit, they may still look good for something else.
