Bora Aksu SS16

Ellis has worked with many fashion designers and on many catwalks, and after studying her facebook page, the one that stood out the most to me was Bora Aksu. In my previous post you will see work from AW13 which I think looks amazing. However, I am focusing on SS16 so below is Bora Aksu's current collections.

SS16
Bora Aksu SS16 collection as the designs include intricate floral patterns which relates to my whole theme of nature and the human body.

This season Bora Aksu has a strong floral theme, it was pretty, feminine and incredibly detailed. The colour palette included fuschia, candy pink, yellow and orange. The models wore floral crowns and the makeup included intricate floral stickers designed by Phyllis Cohen for FaceLace. The collection is fun, but the detail and sophisicated silhouettes added and element of seriousness. It was strong and confident, yet feminine and soft.

Designs - stick to the traditional white dresses to represent how pure our bodies are. White represents our bodies blank canvas, the human colours that our bodies natural produce contrast against the white. I am going to be using white/cream lace dresses for my catwalk shoots.
I have done some online shopping and this is one of my favourite dresses I have found that is similar to the ones above.
