STEPS:
  1. 1)  Wash hands and place cape around model.
  2. 2)  Cleanse the face to remove any makeup. Moisturise the skin and leave to soak in.
  3. 3)  Apply Smashbox Primer Oil and apply to the face, especially in drier areas of the skin.
  4. 4)  Take foundation brush and apply MAC foundation to the face, neck and ears. Use a
    beauty blender if necessary.
  5. 5)  Use MAC Mineralise Skinfinish to mattify the skin and to prep for the freckles.
  6. 6)  Take MAC Eye Shadow and fine brush to draw on the freckles, mixing the shades to
    create slight changes of colour.
  7. 7)  Use MAC Saddle to set the eye and to colour the crease.
  8. 8)  Take Ellis Faas Creamy Eyes and apply to the corners of the eye and crease. Blend
with a fluffy brush so the lines aren’t so harsh.
  9. 9)  Apply a light coat of mascara to evenly cover the lashes. Apply Duo Eyelash Glue to
Lashes and place on lash line. Use tweezers to get lashes in place and squeeze
    against actual eyelashes.
  10. 10)  Using the eyeliner, draw a thin line to cover the harsh line where lashes are,
blending into the blue cut crease.
  11. 11)  Apply a few coats of blue mascara to bottom lashes.
  12. 12)  Take Kiko red lip liner and line the lips and use YSL red lipstick to fill them in.
  13. 13)  Once makeup has been applied, brush the hair through and section into pieces to
    straighten.
  14. 14)  Section hair in half horizontally and pin up the top section. Braid five sections (two at
the sides and one at the back) spread equally around the head. Let top section of
    hair fall back on top.
  15. 15)  Apply hair pomade and hairspray to slick the hair back. Apply hairspray to comb and
hands to get hair in position to create the wet look.
  16. 16)  Style the front sections so braids are visible and stand out against the straight hair.

BEHIND THE SCENES

FAVOURITE IMAGES

Overall, I am really pleased with how my images have turned out. I planned my time efficiently and worked quickly to get it done in time. The freckles took the longest amount of time as I wanted them to look realistic and had to slightly change the shades. I think I worked really well with my model, I was constantly checking to make sure she was ok and let her do her own mascara due to her having watery eyes. I also had lots of practice as she is my housemate too which helped and I think I worked well with her. My model is wearing black because at the time, I hadn't chose my fashion brand for definite so I went with the safest option. In my actual shoots my model will be wearing clothes inspired by that brand.
