Photography: White Out - Perfect Backgrounds

In this lesson we learnt about how to create 'white out's, the perfect clean backgrounds.

To begin, we set up one or two lights behind our model facing the wall. We set both the lights up to a slave mode, meaning that when the main light goes off it causes a chain reaction so they all go off together.
Whenever you or the model move, it is important to check with a light meter to make sure that only the background is over-exposed and that your model is at the correct aperture so it doesn't affect them.
