Final Edits

Advertising - Creamy Eyes (Day)
I am really happy with how this edit has turned out. I especially like the way I have captured all the neutral colours and the way I have placed them. I like the fact the background is all hair which is similar to one of Ellis' photographs. I have kept the makeup natural to resemble a day time look.

Advertising - Milky Lips (Evening)
I am pleased with how this image turned out. It is very much in the style of Ellis Faas because of the red lips and the hair over the eyes. I decided to put the product on the image to advertise what it is, as opposed to the swatches like the one above. I am happy with this image and I feel it reflects an evening look.

Catwalk - Backstage
For my catwalk images I wanted to create one behind the scenes and one on the runway. I am happy with how this has turned out because I have cropped the image to look like I was focusing on one person, I have deliberately left the shoulder in from the other girl to create this effect. I have also placed a watermark over the image to let viewers know I was the photographer and to show that this was behind the scenes at London Fashion Week.

 Catwalk - Runway
I am so pleased with this image, I feel I have captured the right moment as the model was turning to walk back. The spotlight has created a lovely shadow on the background and I think my models face, especially the eyes, looks good. Again, I have placed the watermark because I want viewers to know that I am the photographer and that I have taken all of these images (unprofessionally) behind the scenes, and in the front row of London Fashion Week.

Editorial - Front Cover
This is my final image for the front cover of my magazine. I am so happy with how it came out, I feel the image works well with the V on the magazine, I have copied the style of V magazine so that my version looks similar and something that would be on the shelves in shops.

Here is a screenshot of the PDF file from InDesign. I have laid it out as a typical magazine and this is the front page.

Editorial - Introduction Image
I am really happy with this image. Again, I think the hair makes it look in the style of Ellis Faas and the red lips. The reason for the placement of the cogs on the side of the head, was because I want the cogs to symbolise the mind and how our body's work psychologically. The makeup is kept simple with human colours as I want the mechanical theme to be the key element. I have also kept hints of my catwalk looks in here such as the freckles and colour red.

Here is my image I created through InDesign. I have laid out the style inside V magazine, using the title and quotes. I have pretended that I am one of the ambassadors for Ellis Faas and have worked with Ellis to create these images. I have also quoted some of my work to make it look like a proper magazine spread. I am really happy with how it has turned out. I have explained my ideas and inspiration in the paragraphs.

Editorial - Double Spread
This is my final double page spread image and I am really happy with it. The mechanical objects represent human parts of the body and I think they work well together. Again, the makeup is kept simple as I have put all my effort into the background which is the main feature. I am extremely happy and proud of this image, especially as I have had some recognition from Ellis Faas herself!

This is my image how it would be laid out in a magazine. I am glad I moved my models face to the other side as her face hasn't been touched. I am pleased with how it looks and I have explained that it is the visual for May and what products have been used.

Overall I am so happy with how my images have turned out, especially my editorial as I think I have gone beyond what was expected by creating my own few pages in a magazine. All of my images link in some way, whether it be through the colour red, through the hair, freckles or choice of human colours. They all relate and I think are in the style of Ellis Faas.
