LOOKS
This will be one of my mechanical looks, focusing solely on the cogs which will resemble the mind. I am really happy with how it has turned out as although the makeup is simple it works with my mechanical theme and doesn't take the attention away from the accessories and ideas. The hair will be curly and swept over from one side across the forehead.
This will the makeup look for my background. I don't want anything on the face apart from red eyes and a red lip. The attention will be on my background as that will be the main focus hence why my makeup is simple. I haven't done an hair design as it will be curly and blended in to the background.
This is my final look for my mechanical theme which will be for my outfit. I have sprayed them copper to give it a metallic and mechanical feel alongside with the tawny/taupe look. Again, the hair will be kept curly as the main focus is on the cogs and the outfit, and makeup is kept quite simple.
Mechanical Outfit
I first bought some heavy duty garden wire to create my outfit. Once I started to mould into a skirt shape, I found it was too thick and bendy to do anything with because as soon as you held it, it bent to that shape. Because of this, I bought some chicken wire.
This was much easier to mould into shape as it wasn't as easily bendy. I sprayed it copper to go with the copper cogs on the face makeup. I decided that it would be easier to shape the wire into a skirt on the day of shooting as it would be difficult to get it right beforehand as it could have got damaged in transport and I didn't have the model to practice on.
I also got some flat head nails to stick on my models actual nails/fingers to add to the mechanical outfit. I am pleased with how they came out.
I will also use some of the cogs from my background for my model to place over her chest to make it look like a mechanical bra. Below is final rough sketch of how I want it to roughly look.
