After showing Kat all of my nearly finished edits, I received some good critical feedback in order to help me improve. Below are the images along with the feedback Kat said.
Advertising - Day
I explained that I didn't want to have the product packaging on here as I thought the samples worked better with the hair. Kat agreed, but thought the bigger one looked like a microscopic sample of something as opposed to a product swatch. She told me to resize it to the smaller one and try a different placement. I then explained about maybe placing it at the bottom left of the image and she seemed happy with that.
Advertising - Evening
Kat liked this image but said I need to make the lips some how juicer. I am struggling to think of how I am going to do this but I will try and give it a go. I am happy with how it turned out though and think it represents my chosen brand well.
Catwalk - Look 1 (Behind the Scenes)
I explained to Kat that I wasn't sure about the watermark being in the middle, she said she quite liked the placement as there isn't really much else to have it. But maybe make the dark shadow behind it less dark or by making the writing darker so the shadow isn't necessary. I am going to have a play with it to see what I can do.
Catwalk - Look 2 (On the Runway)
I am pleased with this edit and Kat seemed happy too. There was nothing that needed changing drastically and I am happy with the placement of the text, creating a watermark effect to personalise the images.
Editorial - Look 1
I stupidly didn't copy my front cover over on my hard drive so I was unable to show Kat my design. I explained roughly what I did which is harder as I wanted to show what I have done. I was unable to receive feedback for this design because of that reason.
Editorial - Look 2
This was my design unfinished, I explained what I wanted to do but didn't have enough time to do it before my 1-1. Kat liked the idea of it, but again was unable to receive proper feedback as it is unfinished.
Editorial - Mechanical Double Page Spread
The above is my final edited image and I am very happy with it. I then briefly placed it into InDesign to lay it as a double page spread. Kat said about cropping the right shoulder so that the face and ear wouldn't be in the middle of the spread as it would make the face distorted. I didn't even think about this, I love the image as a whole and will be sad to crop it off but it will make the spread and face look better.
