Because Ellis Faas doesn't actually advertise any of her products through campaigns like most brands do, I am finding it quite difficult as I have nothing to follow. But I guess that means I can literally do anything as long as it reflects her brand and work. I have decided to go for something different for the image below. I didn't think the silver packaging would look right against the hair so I decided to place a few circles of swatches of the creamy eye colours. Which I personally think works well as the texture almost looks like the strands of hair in the background. Again, with my brand there is no specific SS16 collections for me to follow so I decided to go with a light pink as this is quite a soft natural colour that has been used in many other SS16 trends for different brands. I kept this one quite natural as I wanted my second advertising image to be more out there.
This image I feel best represents Ellis as a brand. I have decided to take the idea of wrapping the hair across the eyes and face as it not only makes the lips the main focus but has a touch of Ellis Faas. I decided to make the hair smooth and sleek as opposed to Ellis' textured hair. I kept a flawless face so the lips stand out. Ellis also likes to show models necks in her photographs which is why I have decided to show my models, especially as it is elongated. I decided to use the pen to advertise to show different styles of advertising between the two. I am still unsure of the placement of the pen and think it still needs a bit more work. I have lots of empty space to the right of the image which is why I wanted the product there, but I feel like at the moment it is floating in the middle and looks out of place.
Further Editing - I have made the lips darker, using the colour from the product smudge and I think it looks better. I have also gone back into the skin and erased some more texture back into it so it doesn't appear so blurry. I am still unsure about the placement of the product. I am going to play around more with it and get some feedback about which one looks best.
I think I prefer the product placed at the bottom of the page as it looks like it isn't floating. I am still indecisive as to where I want the brand placement, but again I will ask for feedback to help me in the right direction.
