Developing Second Catwalk Design

LOOK 1

I was firstly inspired by the image below and creating the effect of using fingers and hands instead of brushes. I almost wanted to create a John Galliano inspired look with a twist of Ellis Faas. I had a practice below and it didn't turn out as planned. So I moved on to another idea of mine.

LOOK 2

I got my inspiration from the image below.  I think the lines are too harsh and I think the red lips take the attention away from the eyes and can also make the face look quite pale as they are such bold colours.

Below I have practiced the eye to see what they look like on the skin and I found that it does look too harsh. I also didn't like how the eyebrows looked. I figured I either needed to try and get rid of them, or to make them stand out.

I then decided to block out my eyebrow, I painted over it red which didn't really cover as the colour wasn't very pigmented. So I then drew over my eyebrow using black which has a John Galliano feel, like my other idea above. However, I don't feel it represents Ellis Faas so I came up with the ANOTHER face chart design.

LOOK 3 AND FINAL DESIGN

In this face chart, I have made the eyes slightly softer looking and the bottom line underneath the eye isn't so heavy. The colour is more shaped to the eye as opposed to quite rectangular and harsh looking. I have also gone with a natural lip to have the main focus on the eyes. I am really happy with how this looks, because although simple I feel it resembles Ellis Faas as a brand and works well against the purity of the white lace clothes.

After feeling much happier with my final design, I wanted to see what it would look like on skin. This is a very quite practice of getting the eye shape right but I much prefer how it looks. It is more shaped to the eye and appears softer as opposed to the harsh lines the other design had.

I then added a pair of lashes which I loved the design of, but they were black. So I got another pair and sprayed them red which look so much better!
