The next lesson we did, was the close up photography using the 100ml lens to take close up photographs of peoples facial features. I found this lesson helpful and interesting as experimenting with different lens types was a new thing to me as I had always used the ones that came with the camera! It was so good to see how much detail a lens could pick up. It is definitely a lens I will use in future shoots to pick up any detail.
We used:
- Canon 550d
- 100ml lens
- Tethering cable
- Computer
- Soft box
- Beauty dish
- Light meter
- Sync lead
- Hot shoe adapter
We set up the studio in a similar way to normal, we had our model sat down and the light quite close to the face to light it up, ensuring the camera could pick up every bit of detail.
